This morning Bro. Keith spoke to us about Jacob's encounter with God and how he wrestled with the Lord. Sometimes, we too wrestle with God's will for us and for our lives. If you are wrestling with the Lord about something today, remember that He is all-powerful and that He is in control.
If you aren't familiar with the story of Jacob, visit this website for a brief overview http://sermons4kids.com/jacob_wrestles_with_god.htm. I know it says "sermons4kids," but all of us -no matter what our age - need a refresher course sometimes!! I often enjoy reading these "kid" versions of Biblical stories because the writers make the point so clear and easily understood.
For more from Bro. Keith's sermon from Genesis 32, check the "sermons" link on this blog. Today's sermon will be posted soon!
Welcome to Spring Hill Baptist Church, and thank you for visiting our webpage! The Great Commission instructs us to "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20) and we believe in striving to follow that command every day. Come join us!

If you missed it...
Bro. Keith gave a great message last night at Prayer Meeting. If you missed it, the scripture was taken from Matthew 12:33-45. I will have a brief summary of the message posted on the sermons page by Saturday morning. Here's the message in a nutshell:
A dog is going to bark,
A cat is going to meow, and
A Christian should act like a Christian.
"By your words you will be justified... or condemned." (Matt. 12:37)

Prayer Meeting Tonight
Join us tonight @7pm for Prayer Meeting and Youth Bible Study.
Ezra 8:22-24
New International Version (NIV)
22 I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the road, because we had told the king, “The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him. ” 23 So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.
